ROCKWOOD CITY COUNCIL TO MEET TONIGHT AT 6 P.M. EST
The Rockwood City Council will convene on April 28, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, with Mayor Jolly opening the meeting, followed by a prayer, pledge, and roll call of council members Bobby Anderson, Steven Bryant, Larry Davis, Paul Kamikawa, Mike Reed, April Foust Wilson, and the Mayor.
The agenda includes approving the minutes from March 24, 2025, and the March 31, 2025 Financial Report, alongside committee reports and a public comment period where speakers must notify the Mayor.
Under old business, the council will hold public hearings and second readings for Ordinance 13-16, establishing a fee schedule for Building/Zoning Officer services, and Ordinance 13-17, amending taxicab business definitions to align with the Tennessee Passenger Transportation Services Act.

Douglas Ave (25-17), amending the Urban Growth Boundary Map (25-18, requiring two public hearings), signing airport hangar project agreements (25-19), and implementing SmartGov by Granicus for permits and licensing (25-20). Other items involve purchasing two police vehicles, a Parks & Rec mower, an aluminum traffic light cabinet, approving a firm for a Hotel/Motel Study, and quarterly budget amendments.
Announcements include Main Street Monday on May 12, 2025, and rescheduling the May Council Meeting to May 19, 2025, with a budget workshop at 5 p.m. and the first reading of the 2025-26 budget.
