Officials say the Rockwood city pool will not be open for the beginning of summer and possibly all season.

The city says much-needed and expensive repairs are the reasons for the pool closure.

The pool will not be open in time for swim team purposes.

The city has received grant funds to help pay for the repairs. However, the repairs can only be done according to grant rules and timelines. In addition, the funds will not pay for all the needed repairs.

City officials apologize to the residents of Rockwood for this inconvenience.
