On Monday, just after 6:00 p.m., the Rockwood Police Department responded to a single-vehicle accident in the 700 block of Pump House Road. Rockwood Fire Department first responders and an ambulance also arrived at the scene.

The report states that a 1996 Infiniti, driven by 22-year-old Jacob Lochert of Rockwood, struck a guardrail, sustaining extensive damage. Lochert required medical attention and was transported to Rome Medical Center by ambulance.

A passenger, 18-year-old Alexis Elizabeth Hickey, also from Rockwood, was not transported.

Lochert was cited for multiple traffic violations.
