A Rockwood woman faces several charges including DUI in an accident which occurred Tuesday morning. Shortly before 11 AM, authorities were called to Highway 70 just west of the Highway 27 junction on Rockwood Mountain for the report of a head-on collision between an early model Subaru and a KIA Sport. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says that the Subaru, driven by Angela K. Knoblock, crossed the center line on a curve and struck the westbound KIA driven by Tammy Renee Gill. A 3-year-old passenger in the KIA was transported to the hospital with unknown but serious injuries. The crash closed down the roadway for some time.
