ROGERS CHARGED WITH RECKLESS DRIVING AFTER MULTI-VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON PEAVINE ROAD AND I-40 IN CUMBERLAND CO.
Law enforcement and medics responded to a multi-vehicle accident at the 322 mile marker of I-40 in Cumberland County yesterday. Trooper Jack Alderman says three vehicles were stopped on the exit ramp of Peavine Road waiting to turn when a tractor-trailer driven by 37-year-old Alen Rogers of Crossville exited the interstate and caused a chain reaction crash with the other drivers. Gregory Piggs of Cypress Inn, Tennessee was the only injury noted. The report states Rogers was charged with reckless driving.
