A Roane County deputy observed a wanted man riding a bicycle Saturday on Roane State Highway near Caney Ford Baptist Church. When the officer initiated his emergency lights on the cruiser, 38-year-old Jeremiah Ray Rust looked back, locked up his front brakes on the bicycle and crashed. Rust was treated by medics then taken to the Roane County jail for four counts of theft of property.
