SCHOOL CLOSINGS AND ACCIDENTS MARK WEDNESDAY MORNING’S FRIGID WEATHER
Falling snow and plunging temperatures Wednesday brought regional school cancellations and a slew of accidents on roadways and the interstate. As the morning progressed, some roadways began to ice up causing several schools to start out at 2-hour delays. Soon, many began calling school off, particularly when outlying county roads began getting worse. Reports came in of vehicles in ditches, and several fender benders took place. Thursday morning started out as frigid, but temperatures are expected to climb into the forties this afternoon.
