SCHOOL OFFICIALS RECOMMEND CLEANING STUDENTS BACKPACKS AND OTHER ITEMS TO PREVENT SPREAD OF FLU

POSSIBLE PENALTY INCREASE FOR THOSE WHO PASS STOPPED SCHOOL BUSES

School officials in the area, including Cumberland and Roane County, say it’s a good idea to clean your child’s backpack, lunchbox, clothing or anything else the student carries to school. By giving those items a quick or thorough wipe down or wash and practicing hand washing and cough-covering techniques as a reminder for ways to keep germs at bay, you can help prevent the spread of the flu. Cumberland County will resume schools on Monday, January 6 while Roane County will start classes Tuesday, January 7, 2020.
