SCHOOL THREATS BEING INVESTIGATED IN ROANE COUNTY
Ninth Judicial District Attorney General Russell Johnson confirms that there has been six threats reported this week to schools in his district and four of them are in Roane County. Two took place in Harriman and the other two were in Oliver Springs. Authorities in Roane County say only one was found to be credible at Oliver Springs High School in a warning one student gave another regarding coming to school the next day. Roane County authorities have an investigator assigned to look into any school threat made and ones responsible will be prosecuted. The sheriff’s department says any and all threats will be taken seriously. Johnson said that if the minor that makes a threat is old enough and the threat is serious enough, the accused can be transferred into adult court to face charges.
