Roane County deputies responded to a report of a suspicious person standing at a side window of a residence on Mays Valley Road. Officers encountered 44-year-old Jeffrey Todd Schultz, who supposedly ran away. Deputies got close enough in the foot pursuit to tase Schultz. He was transported to Roane Medical Center in order to have the taser barbs removed from his face and elbow, then to jail for evading arrest.
