SEARCH FOR NEW HARRIMAN POLICE CHIEF CONTINUES
Harriman City Officials continue their search for a new police chief. Several have applied for the position and interviews are set to finish today. Names of those applying have not been furnished as City Manager Kevin Helms continues to interview. Most are from outside of the city but sources say that one applicant is a local officer in Roane County. The City Council is scheduled to meet Tuesday under the direction of new City mayor Wayne Best. It’s unclear whether a new chief will be presented then. Former chief Randy Heidle retired amid allegations of misconduct.
