SEPT. 23 DEDICATED TO RECYCLING EDUCATION IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

September 23, 2019 has been dedicated as recycling education and improvement in Cumberland County. The proclamation states:

“Whereas, the beautiful Cumberland Plateau is ours to keep and protect. We wish to acknowledge, thank, and support those leaders amongst us that have made us aware of the growing concern of excessive trash disposal habits; and

Whereas, with the full support of the local government and citizens, this concern for our community can be greatly reduced by consciously practicing better recycling habits; and

Whereas, with further education on recycling practices and citizens relying less on single use throw away plastic items, we can create a cleaner and safer Cumberland County for all; and

Whereas, all movements start small, some eventually change the world – let this be our legacy

Now, therefore, be it resolved by Allen Foster, Cumberland County Mayor, and James Mayberry, City of Crossville Mayor, that September 23, 2019 is a day dedicated to the education and improvement of our recycling practices across Cumberland County.”
