Funeral services for a Crossville native who was stabbed to death in Chattanooga this past Sunday have been set. The body of 30-year-old Elizabeth Ashley Cates was discovered in her apartment on Bailey St. by authorities. The woman had sustained several cuts and stab wounds. 57-year-old Tyrone Murphy, another tenant in the same apartment complex, has been charged with criminal homicide and tampering with evidence in the case. Funeral services for Elizabeth Ashley Cates, will be at 1 PM (EST) on Friday, June 9, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with burial in Forest Hills Cemetery.
