Tennessee Governor Bill Lee approved over $26.7 million in Community Development Block Grants, which assist communities with improvements. In the listening area, Cumberland County will receive nearly $469,000 for water line extensions. Fentress County will see just over $263,000 and Wartburg will get $266,000 for fire protection. Jamestown, Rockwood and Spring City will each see $525,000 for sewer system improvements. Oliver Springs, Harriman and Pikeville will each see $525,000 for water system improvements.
