There have been several holiday closings announced across the 105.7 listening area for tomorrow, Good Friday.

Most banks will be open, with the exception of federal credit unions.

From Anderson County: Waste Connections will pick up garbage on its normal daily schedule on Friday, with no interruption in service; if Friday is your usual trash day, get those cans to the curb tonight.

Clinton City Hall will be closed Friday, reopening Monday, April 22. The Anderson County Courthouse and Senior Center will be closed Friday, as will the county’s public libraries. The libraries will also be closed Saturday for the Easter holiday. All will reopen Monday.

Anderson County Community Action will be closed on Friday, reopening at its regular time Monday.

Oak Ridge municipal offices will be closed in observance of Good Friday and reopen on Monday, April 22. The Oak Ridge Public Library and Oak Ridge Civic Center (including the senior center) will be closed from Friday, April 19, through Sunday, April 21, for the Good Friday and Easter holidays.

In Cumberland County, the courthouse will be closed tomorrow, April 19, for Good Friday.

The Cumberland County Recycle Center and all Cumberland County Convenience Centers will be closed all day on Sunday, April 21, in observance of Easter.

In Roane County, there will be no garbage pickup Friday and all city and county offices in Roane County will be closed.

Statewide, the Tennessee Department of Transportation has announced it will suspend all interstate construction work this Easter weekend in anticipation of increased holiday travel.

TDOT crews and contractors will stop all road construction work that requires lane closures beginning Thursday, April 18 at 6:00 p.m. through Monday, April 22 at 6:00 a.m. This will provide maximum roadway capacity to motorists expected to travel across the state this holiday weekend.

Motorists will still encounter some long term lane closures on construction projects that will remain in place. While lane closure activity will be stopped, some workers may be on-site in construction zones and reduced speed limits will still be in effect.

Motorists are urged to adhere to all posted speed limits, especially in work zones, for their own safety. Slower speeds are necessary in work zones due to the temporary layout of the roadway and will be enforced.
