Several road projects are ongoing in Roane County. Bridge repair on I-40 at mile marker 347 should be completed at the end of this month. The widening of Highway 27 between the Roane/Morgan County line and Lower Whetstone Road will intermittently close the road every day until November 1. A bridge being repaired on Highway 27 just south of I-40 has southbound traffic down to one lane and should be finished by May 31, 2019. Work on Highway 70 between Kingston Avenue and Patton Lane will cause temporary lane closures daily. That project is expected to be completed by August 31, 2019. Motorist are asked to use caution in these areas and watch for workers.
