Thieves were busy in Cumberland County over this past weekend. Saturday, officers responded to homes on Highway 127 South and Highway 70 North where someone took a trailer full of items and jewelry. Yesterday, burglars struck residences on Claysville Road and Smith Mountain Road. Also, a vehicle was reported stolen from a home on Potato Farm Road. All of the incidents are under investigation.
