Rhea County officials report significant damage from severe weather today around the Dayton area. Firefighters responded to Shipley Basket Manufacturing Company off of Highway 30 and Shipley Lane for a partial building collapse. No injuries are reported at this time. Also several trees were down in the areas of Shaver Loop, Shipley Lane, Shady Road, Double S Road and Highway 30 in the Kelly Grove area. Several departments have roads blocked for repairs. Officers are also checking on residences as fast as they can. Authorities are asking the public to stay clear of these areas until further notice.
