SHAINA VICTORY FACES DUI, FELONY RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT CHARGES FOLLOWING MAY TRAFFIC STOP WITH TODDLER IN VEHICLE

A local woman is scheduled to appear in the Cumberland County General Sessions Court on October 1, 2026, to face multiple charges, including driving under the influence and felony reckless endangerment, following a traffic stop earlier this year.
According to court documents filed by Lt. Dustin Lester of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred on May 16, 2026. Lt. Lester initiated a traffic stop on a white vehicle driven by Shaina Nicole Victory after observing it traveling 52 mph in a 45 mph zone near Highway 127 North.
Officers reported that Victory smelled of alcohol, admitted to drinking, and subsequently failed standardized field sobriety tests, including the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus and the nine-step walk-and-turn. Authorities discovered an almost two-year-old child inside the vehicle at the time of the stop.
Further investigation revealed that Victory was operating the vehicle on a revoked driver’s license.
She faces a total of three charges stemming from the arrest:
  • Driving Under the Influence (First Offense)
  • Felony Reckless Endangerment (Vehicle)
  • Driving While License Revoked
Victory is represented by the Public Defender’s office and is slated for court proceedings on the docket with a $14,500 total bond.
