A Cumberland County individual has been indicted by a grand jury for a child sex crime. Court documents state 47-year-old Aaron Lavern Sheffield of Crossville faces sexual exploitation of a minor after allegedly being in possession of more than 100 images of underage subjects engaged in sexual activity. Sheffield was taken to jail and later released after posting a $85,000 bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned in criminal court September 11, 2020.
