SHOAP RESIGNS AS CUMBERLAND CO. CENTRAL COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

Crossville-Cumberland County Central Communications Director Rodney Shoap has resigned from his position. Shoap was at the helm of the central communications for nine months. Shoap indicted his main interest was law enforcement and that things were going well at central communications. Shoap said in the letter of resignation that he wished to remain on the job as director through September to give the county time to find a replacement for him.

Shoap recently appeared in front of the Crossville City Council to requests funds for an additional full time dispatcher that was put off until a later date by the council. The request came after the county indicated they would fund two fill time dispatchers if the city chipped in for one.
