SHOTS FIRED ON TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS EARLY FRIDAY MORNING

Metro Nashville Police say that someone fired multiple shots on the Tennessee State University campus early Friday. Reportedly, the unknown suspect fired three to four shots around 3:30 AM towards the entrance gate near West Heiman St. He then entered a black Ford Mustang and left the scene. A guard was on duty at the time. He was unharmed. A few minutes later a grey or silver colored Camaro pulled up to the gate and a male subject is said to have gotten in. The vehicle was driven through the gate and onto the campus. That same vehicle was later found riddled with bullets. Authorities believe both incidents are connected and the investigation is continuing.
