SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH ON US 127 LEAVES TENNESSEE MAN INJURED IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
A 31-year-old Tennessee man was injured early Thursday morning following a single-vehicle rollover crash on US 127 south of Mayfair Drive.
According to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), the accident occurred on August 20, 2026, at approximately 5:30 a.m.
Hunter Percell was driving a 2013 Ford Explorer southbound on US 127 while negotiating a left curve in rainy conditions on a wet roadway. After passing another vehicle and returning to the southbound lane, the SUV’s rear tires lost traction and the vehicle rotated. After the driver attempted to correct, the vehicle lost control, overturned multiple times, and ultimately came to rest on its roof in the southbound ditch line facing south.
Officials confirmed that Percell sustained injuries in the crash and was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident. According to the THP report, charges pending the outcome of the investigation include driving on a revoked/revised license and lack of financial responsibility.
