SMALL GROUP TURNS OUT FOR PROTEST IN CROSSVILLE
A group of about 30 to 40 individuals gathered at the amphitheater behind the old courthouse in Crossville today around 1 p.m. to join protests held across the nation. It was in response to the death of George Floyd, who died last week in Minneapolis while in police custody. The police officer involved in that case has been charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter.
The protest in Crossville was peaceful as of 1:40 p.m.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol and Crossville Police Department patrolled around the area to ensure things stayed civil.
