Cumberland County deputies recently responded to Jim Garrett Road where a motorist was passed out with the vehicle in the middle of the road. EMS was treating 36-year-old Michael Dewayne Smith of Crossville who later supposedly failed a field sobriety test. A search of the automobile revealed pills. Smith was taken to Cumberland Medical Center then to jail for possession of a Schedule IV drug, DUI and simple possession of drugs.
