SOUTH ROANE VOLUNTEER FIRE RESPONDS TO DOGTOWN ROAD ACCIDENT

On Monday night, the South Roane County Volunteer Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle accident on Dogtown Road, just below the Bernard Narrows intersection, shortly before 10:00 p.m. A car had run off the embankment. Upon arrival, the first volunteer firefighter found two occupants, a male and a female, still inside the vehicle.
The rescue squad was initially dispatched but canceled as both individuals were able to exit the vehicle. One occupant, believed to be the male, was transported to Roane Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, while the other declined ambulance transport.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
