The Town of Spring City is seeking a qualified City Manager to serve as the Chief Administrative Officer. Appointed by and reporting to the Mayor and Board of Commissioners, the City Manager oversees all municipal operations, including budgeting, policy implementation, human resources, project management, purchasing, intergovernmental relations, community engagement, grant administration, event coordination, and marketing via social media and the town’s website.

Responsibilities include supervising departments and personnel (e.g., City Recorder, Police Chief, Fire Chief, Public Works Director, and Water/Wastewater Supervisors), managing multi-million-dollar budgets, ensuring audit compliance, leading strategic planning for infrastructure and community initiatives, and representing the town professionally.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in public administration, political science, business management, or a related field, or 2–5 years of relevant government or business management experience, a valid Tennessee driver’s license (or ability to obtain one), proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to pass a drug screening and be bondable. Residency in Spring City or Tennessee is not required.
