Spring City has received grant funding through TDOT to repave both railroad crossings in town as well as Front Street.

The work is scheduled to start this Monday (June 21, 2021) and last until Friday, June 25, 2021. Front Street and both railroad crossings will be closed during this time period and crews will only re-open sections as they are finished.

Parking on Piccadilly, West Rhea Avenue, and West Jackson Avenues will remain open for anyone that needs to park in the downtown area.  Also, since the railroad crossings will be closed during their work, please use the Highway 68 bypass as a detour until they are re-opened, if needed.

Officials say Front Street and both railroad crossings have needed this maintenance for a while now and will be beneficial to everyone once completed.
