STANDOFF AT LAKE TANSI RESIDENCE IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY ENDS WITH ARREST

A standoff at a home between a suspect and law enforcement in Lake Tansi Monday night ended with an arrest. According to the report released today, Cumberland County deputies responded to a residence on the 3200 block of Warpath Drive for a domestic dispute. While on the way, officers were notified that 39-year-old Robert Glenn Jordan of Crossville reportedly discharged a firearm inside the dwelling resulting in a female and kids getting out of the home. She told officers that Jordan locked himself in a bedroom and had several firearms in the room with him. A SWAT team was called to the scene while officers negotiated with Jordan for him to surrender which he eventually did. Jordan was charged with reckless endangerment.
