STATE BOUND! STONE MEMORIAL LADY PANTHERS WIN IN OVERTIME IN SECTIONAL GAME
The Stone Memorial High School Lady Panthers basketball team was on the road and played the Blackman Lady Blaze last night in the TSSAA high school girls sectional game.
The Lady Panthers were down as much as 9 points in the second half of the game but battled back. The score of the game was tied at 50 at the end of regulation and would go to overtime to see who would advance.
The final score in overtime was 58 to 55 in favor of the Lady Panthers.
The Lady Panthers will now be one of eight teams in girls AAA to compete for the state championship. A drawing for the game matchups of the 8 teams participating will take place today at 2 p.m. central at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Murfreesboro.
