By order of the Governor and in accordance with the Honoring Hometown Heroes Act, flags over the State Capitol, all State office buildings, all county and city government buildings and upon all Tennessee public grounds shall be flown at half-staff from sunrise until sunset on Sunday September 8th. This is in honor of Jefferson County paramedic Captain and Assistant Chief of the Rescue Squad, Jeremy Sutton, who was killed in the line of duty on August 31, 2024
