STATE GIVES LOCAL SCHOOL SYSTEMS SAFETY FUNDING
The State of Tennessee is giving local and area schools more safety funding. Under the Safe Schools Act, each school district is responsible for evaluating its safety needs and deciding the best way to use the money. The following systems will benefit from the state’s decision: $169,730 for Cumberland County schools, $158,430 for Roane County, $96,330 for Morgan County, $108,700 for Loudon and $62,220 for the Fentress County School System to improve safety.
