Cumberland County deputies went to the area of Browntown Road and Frazier Road Saturday after four cows were found dead. The report says three of them were in a pile and another was tied up by its hoof to a tree. The deputy also observed multiple piles of bones and animals that had decomposed. The sheriff’s office notified a state agricultural special agent who took over the investigation. No suspects were named in the incident.
