STATE UNEMPLOYMENT DROPS SLIGHTLY IN NOVEMBER
For the most part, unemployment in Tennessee decreased for the month of November due to seasonal hiring. Tennessee’s preliminary unemployment rate for November is 4.8 percent, unchanged from the previous month’s rate. Cumberland County’s November unemployment rate remained steady at 5.9 %, unchanged from October. Roane County’s rate decreased slightly from 5.5 to 5.4 percent. Williamson County had the state’s lowest unemployment rate at 3.4% while Lake County recorded the state’s highest at 8.3%.
