STEPHANIE JEAN BARBER FACES GRAND JURY INDICTMENT FOR MULTI-YEAR THEFT OF OVER $60,000 FROM JD LAND AND TITLE
Stephanie Jean Barber is scheduled for an upcoming court appearance following a grand jury indictment on felony theft charges in Cumberland County.
According to court documents, Barber is facing a single count of theft of property valued between $60,000 and $250,000. The indictment alleges that the unlawful activity took place over a nearly decade-long span, between August 18, 2015, and May 15, 2025. Investigators claim Barber knowingly exercised control over money exceeding $60,000 belonging to JD Land and Title, Inc., without the ownerโs effective consent.
The grand jury returned the true bill on June 16, 2026, following testimony from Cumberland County Sheriffโs Office (CCSO) affiant Mitchell Ward, alongside witness statements from CCSOโs Michael Winebarger and a witness from JD Land and Title.
Barber is currently out on a $150,000 surety bond secured through Huckabee Bonding. Her next court appearance is slated for a report-with-attorney hearing in the Cumberland County General Sessions and Criminal Court.
