Monday is the big day with the total solar eclipse across much of East Tennessee. It will be a total eclipse for Livingston and Cookeville as well as Crossville and Sparta and then Eastward through Roane County and Rhea County . The eclipse will begin at noon Central Time and become total near 1:30 p.m. And then end near 3 p.m., these are the central times so add 1 hour for Roane and Rhea. Partly cloudy skies and hot temperatures in the forecast for Monday 85 to 90 degrees and as always on a hot day a slight chance of a pop up shower. by Tuesday night showers and thunderstorms will become likely .
