STEVE NORRIS WEATHER – ONE MORE VERY WARM DAY

Partly cloudy skies in your Friday forecast and warm with a high temperature in the low to mid-80s . There is a chance of a few showers in East Tennessee late Friday and Friday night but most of these will be from Knoxville to the Smokies if any at all. Rain is badly needed, Crossville is 9 inches below normal for the year and if we don’t get a shower from this we may go another week with totally dry weather and this means the grass and woods fire situation will be critical in the coming days. Temperatures will be a little cooler this weekend with highs in the low 70s and lows in the 40s. The computer models are indicating winds may become Gusty from the north Friday night and Saturday in the higher elevations and this could mean portions of Cumberland, Fentress and Morgan counties could see gusts of 20 to 30 miles per hour
