A Sunny, Hot Weekend is in store for East Tennessee with temperatures hitting 88 to 92 for Saturday and Sunday. A 50% chance of showers arrives Monday with a cold front and that will bring the coolest weather of the season by midweek. I expect temperatures to only be in the low-to-mid 70s for the highs in many areas next week and low temperatures near 50 and I think areas along the plateau could see the first upper 40s of the season . With the exception of Monday and Monday night the rest of the week will be basically dry and sunny with the cooler air.
