They had seven health-insurance packages for teachers to choose from last night, but for the second consecutive regular meeting, the Cumberland County Board of Education took no action in approving one. The plans ranged in coverage for a single employee, employee with a spouse, and an employee, spouse and children. Concerns were raised regarding the cost impact on teachers on a couple of plans. A motion was made by Josh Stone to eliminate from consideration ones that charged a premium for employees and their children but it did not get support from the board. No further action was taken.
