STOLEN TRAILER FILLED WITH HURRICANE RELIEF PRE-PACKAGED MEALS FOUND IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
The Tennessee Highway Patrol found two stolen commercial box trailers filled with over $450,000 worth of Meals Ready to Eat (MRE) originally headed to Louisiana for hurricane relief. Both were stolen in South Carolina. One was located at the Pilot Travel Center in Cumberland County. The search for the driver is ongoing. The other truck was located off of I-81 in Jefferson County. An arrest was made after its discovery. The cargo inside each belonged to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The investigation is ongoing.
