STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED BY OLIVER SPRINGS PD; SUSPECT ARRESTED

From the Oliver Springs Police Department:

This afternoon, Officers were alerted by an Automated License Plate Reader(ALPR) that a stolen vehicle had entered the Town of Oliver Springs. Officers located the vehicle travelling east on Tri County Blvd and conducted a stop of the vehicle. A 39 year old man from Houston, Texas was safely arrested for possession of the vehicle which was reported stolen from Newark, New Jersey.

“Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs) enhance public safety by quickly identifying vehicles linked to criminal activity, including those from out of state. They support law enforcement in preventing and solving crime, helping to keep our town secure while ensuring the efficient use of safety resources and keeping criminal activity out of Oliver Springs” said Chief David Laxton.
