Rising first, second and third graders in Cumberland County recently attended a month-long Read to be Ready summer camp, funded by a summer grant program through the State Department of Education. Students who attended at Crab Orchard, North, Pleasant Hill and Homestead Elementary schools took part in reading and visited historical sites such as the Homestead Tower, the Lost Sea and the Pioneer Hall Museum.
