We had a lovely day over much of the area with just some scattered showers around midday mainly in Rhea County and a few in Cumberland that quickly moved to the South. Students visiting the weather office today were from Pineview Elementary and a couple of Christian schools in Cumberland County. They ask questions and enjoy seeing how I put my forecast in and then play it for them. We have two more sunny and hot days ahead for Wednesday and Thursday with high temperatures between 85 and 90. Friday through Sunday scattered thunderstorm chances return and it’s about 50% on Saturday. We expect some cooler air to start slipping in here over the next one to two weeks with low temperatures dropping way down into the low 50s.
