A warrants check on a Philadelphia, Tennessee man Tuesday turned into a short foot pursuit for Roane County Deputies. Officers visited a Sweetwater Road residence to conduct a search warrant on 30-year-old Dustin Lynn Rogers. A man fitting the Roger’s description was observed standing on the front porch of the home. He was then observed running toward a barn on the property. A female at the home then told officers that Rogers ran into a field in the back. A deputy finally made contact with Rogers. A search turned up a bag of marijuana on Roger’s person. Rogers was then taken into custody and charged with resisting a stop, halt, frisk, and simple possession. He was also served with a warrant for probation violation.
