On December 4, 2024, at approximately 8:33 a.m. a suspicious suspect was immediately apprehended by the SRO at Cumberland County High School off campus.

Director William Stepp and the District Threat Task Force would like to assure parents that there is no current threat to students. The District Threat Task Force, consisting of the Crossville Police Department, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Homeland Security, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, 13th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, and Cumberland County Schools has been activated and is currently investigating.
