TBI CHARGE 3 MEN WITH SCAMMING TENNESSEANS OUT OF NEARLY $1 MILLION

The Tenessee Bureau of Investigation reports that three Florida men are charged with scamming Tennesseans out of nearly $1 million dollars. 59-year-old Gopalbhai Patel, 35-year-old Riptesh Patel and 35-year-old Ashokkumar Raval were running a scam where they would call residents and threaten them if they failed to deposit money into a specific bank account. The investigation revealed that the three men pocketed over $900,000 which was funneled into overseas bank accounts. It was determined that the original bank account had been opened in Williamson County. All three are charged with conspiracy to commit theft and money laundering.
