TBI CRIME REPORT ISSUED FOR CUMBERLAND AND ROANE COUNTY
Today, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation released its 2017 ‘Crime in Tennessee’ report for each county law-enforcement agency. In Cumberland County, deputies arrested a total of 1,789 adults and four juveniles last year with leading offenses being assault, DUI, and burglary. Deputies arrested 267 individuals on drug and drug-paraphernalia charges in 2017. However, according to the TBI report today, Roane County had a higher number of total arrests last year with 2,223 adults and 36 juveniles. The leading offenses in Roane County include assault, family disputes, and burglary. Deputies arrested a total of 220 individuals on drug and drug-paraphernalia charges in 2017.
