The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says its’ been called in to look at a fatal officer-involved shooting in Overton County. Deputies were called to a Pedalbrook Lane location in Livingston Tuesday afternoon around 5 PM. An area resident reported that a vehicle that appeared to have bullet holes had been abandoned on their property. According to the TBI, as authorities arrived on the scene they observed a male subject walked toward them from a woodline. The report stated that during a confrontation between the men, the unidentified man pulled a handgun and shots were exchanged. The man was shot and reportedly died at the scene. No officers were injured during the shooting. The TBI’s investigation is continuing and a full report will be submitted to the District Attorney General.
