TBI TO INVESTIGATE DEATH OF MAN AT BRADLEY COUNTY JAIL
Authorities say a man who died in a Cleveland, Tennessee, jail hours after he was arrested had more than 8 grams of meth on him when he was taken into custody. District Attorney Steve Crump has asked the TBI to investigate. Crump says he expects the cause of death to be ruled an overdose. An incident report by the Cleveland Police Department says the man and three other people were in a car that was searched early yesterday morning. Officers reportedly found nearly 10 grams of meth, eight of which littered the ground where the man was standing. The four were arrested on drug charges and taken to the Bradley County Jail. None of the men was initially identified by law enforcement.
