TDOT provided an update to 1057 News late yesterday about the ongoing Peavine Road widening project from Firetower Road to Westchester/Catoosa Boulevard. The posted speed limit has been reduced from 45 m.p.h. to 35 within the work zone. Temporary lane closures and traffic stoppages may be needed to support paving and other activities. Dartmoor Road will be closed for about two weeks between Peavine Road and Wilshire Heights to install storm drain. Detour signs are in place. Motorists should reduce speed on Peavine Road and be alert for construction crews and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.  The estimated project completion date remains November 2020.
